I’m passionate about nurturing local talent, both in the arts and the expanding local tech scene. In 2017 I helped fund, design and develop leeds.tech, which promotes the tech and digital sector in the Leeds City Region.
This truly independent platform aims to provide real-time, continuously updated feeds for: Jobs, Events and Workspaces. To support this we have developed a detailed business directory for agencies, startups and other tech-related business operating within the sector. To date, we have documented over 1300 businesses, a figure that continues to grow week on week.
News, features and opinions will come from media partnerships, guest contributors and a small team of in-house content creators. You will also find vital resources for those looking to start their business in the region, raise finance and grow. In time, a unique ‘Opportunities’ section will act as a lead generation for new business, providing a showcase for the skills on offer within the sector and matching them with those in need.
We hope leeds.tech will become a valuable resource and provider of data. This will help both new and established businesses make informed decisions when looking to relocate or do business with compatible organisations in the area. This data will be open for all to use, thus levelling the playing field and helping smaller businesses compete or do business with the larger firms. Most importantly it will showcase the region as a key destination for tech, both nationally and beyond.
